For technology, data, and engineering leaders

Turn AI into an engineering capability.

AI changes both what technology teams build and how they build it. I help teams adopt AI-enabled development, design reliable AI systems, and create the workflows and foundations needed to deliver at scale.

Three technical capabilities

AI-enabled development
Help development teams use AI effectively across planning, implementation, review, testing, documentation, and maintenance, while keeping engineering judgment, quality, and security visible.
Reliable AI-enabled systems
Design systems around the complete production reality: data, integrations, evaluation, permissions, human oversight, fallback, monitoring, cost, and operational ownership.
Software factory foundations
Create the reusable context, tools, workflows, standards, guardrails, environments, and feedback loops that make AI-assisted software delivery repeatable across teams.

A software factory is not simply more generated code

It is a repeatable system for turning intent into reliable software using shared context, engineering practices, tools, controls, and feedback.

AI can accelerate that system, but it cannot replace the foundations that make the output trustworthy.

A convincing output is not a production system.

A model can perform well in a demonstration while the surrounding system remains difficult to integrate, evaluate, secure, support, or operate.

The question is whether the complete system can make its output useful, measurable, reliable, and supportable.

Foundations that make technical adoption work

  1. Context and data

What information does the AI need, where does it come from, and can it be used reliably?

  2. Engineering workflow

Where does AI enter the development or operational process, and what still requires human judgment?

  3. Evaluation and quality

How will the team determine whether outputs are good enough, detect regressions, and compare performance with a meaningful baseline?

  4. Production reliability

How will permissions, security, monitoring, fallback, provider changes, incidents, cost, and performance be handled?

  5. Ownership and improvement

Who owns the system after launch, reviews its behaviour, responds to problems, and improves it over time?

What I help technology teams put in place

An AI-enabled development approach
Clear practices for where AI helps across the software lifecycle, where human review remains essential, and how teams learn to use it effectively.
A credible path to production
Defined assumptions, architecture, integrations, evaluation, controls, operational requirements, and a bounded first implementation.
A scalable delivery foundation
Reusable workflows, tooling, context, standards, observability, guardrails, and feedback loops that can extend beyond one project.

Ways to work together

Engagements can start with one technical workshop or extend into ongoing advisory and hands-on implementation.

  1. Technical workshops and training

Teach teams how to use AI across development and delivery, using practical workflows rather than tool demonstrations alone.

  2. Technical advisory

Support technology leaders with architecture, tooling, build-versus-buy decisions, engineering practices, evaluation, governance, and adoption planning.

  3. Hands-on implementation

Help design and implement AI-enabled workflows, production foundations, evaluation systems, developer tooling, or software-factory components.

Governance has to appear in the engineering design.

Permissions, evaluation, evidence, human oversight, monitoring, change management, and stopping conditions cannot be added after the system is built. They are part of making it production-ready.

Relevant experience

  • More than fifteen years building technology
  • Nine years building operational infrastructure for financial firms
  • Experience taking business and regulatory requirements into production systems
  • MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Amsterdam

This combination helps me connect what AI makes possible with what teams will actually need to build, test, secure, operate, and maintain.
